“And people will come from east and west, and from north and south,
and recline at table in the kingdom of God.”
As Christ’s crucifixion drew near, He taught His disciples about the way of the Kingdom. He reminded them that His Kingdom is vastly different than the kingdoms of this world, and that His Kingdom is the only one that will never end. For five weeks we will walk with Jesus and His disciples in Luke’s account of Passion Week, and learn, like the disciples, to fix our eyes on the coming Kingdom of God.
Here’s what you have to look forward to in The Way of the Kingdom study for Lent (our study starts February 26):
Greek grammar: There are some fascinating grammatical studies in the original Greek (the language the book of John was originally written in). We’ll be looking at unique vocab throughout Jesus’ teachings.
Old Testament prophecy: One of the awe-inspiring themes throughout the Passion Week narrative is how many prophecies Jesus fulfilled in His death and resurrection. Throughout our study, we will observe several ways God has kept His promises in Christ.
