My Favorite Easter Finds for Little Girls (Pretty, Playful, and Gospel-Centered)

When I’m putting together Easter baskets for my girls, I’m not looking for more things—I’m looking for the right things.

Things that feel special without being over-the-top.
Things that celebrate spring and beauty.
And things that gently point our kids back to the hope of Easter: that Jesus died, rose again, and brings new life.

These are some of my very favorite Easter finds for little girls this year—pieces that feel thoughtful, joyful, and lasting.

Easter Dresses They’ll Wear All Spring

I love using Easter as an excuse to tuck a new dress into the basket—something soft, classic, and comfortable enough for church and the playground.

The dresses I gravitate toward have:

  • Simple silhouettes
  • Smocked or puffed details
  • Gentle spring colors and florals

They feel special without being fussy, and they transition beautifully into everyday wear all season long.

The Basket Itself (Plus a Personal Touch)

Instead of plastic baskets that come out once a year, I love using woven baskets that feel timeless and reusable.

One of my favorite little traditions is adding a fabric tie or bow to the basket handle—and embroidering each girl’s name on it. I tie it onto the side of the basket, and it instantly makes the whole thing feel personal and keepsake-worthy.

Long after Easter morning, these baskets get used for:

  • Books
  • Dress-up clothes
  • Nature treasures

Spring Books (Happy Springtime Reads)

Springtime books are some of my very favorites—full of gardens, growing things, animals, and wonder. These are perfect Easter morning reads that celebrate renewal and beauty in God’s world.

Some of the spring titles I love include:

  • The Golden Glow
  • Up in the Garden and Down in the Dirt
  • There’s a Tiger in the Garden
  • Florette
  • Worm Weather
  • Lola Plants a Garden
  • Spring Is Here
  • Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring
  • Some Bugs

They pair so naturally with Easter because they echo what we’re already seeing outside: new growth, new life, and beauty after winter.

Gospel-Centered Easter Books

If there’s one thing I never skip in an Easter basket, it’s a Christ-centered book.

These are the stories that help our kids understand why Easter matters—not just that Jesus rose, but what His resurrection means for them.

Some of the Christian titles I love for little girls include:

  • A Very Happy Easter
  • Jesus Rose for Me
  • A Jesus Easter
  • Darkest Night Brightest Day
  • Easter Is Coming!
  • Read It, See It, Say It, Sing It
  • The Donkey Who Carried a King
  • The King of Easter
  • The Garden, the Curtain, and the Cross
  • The Gospel
  • Jesus Saves

These are the books we come back to year after year—long after the candy is gone.

Fun Extras (Small, Sweet Add-Ons)

Finally, I like to round out the basket with a few fun extras—nothing overwhelming, just little delights.

Think:

  • Soft floral socks (my kids needed new socks anyway!)
  • Hair bows in spring colors
  • A tiny plush friend
  • A small purse or bag for pretend play

These are the kinds of items that make kids smile but don’t take over your house.

Tiny Theologians Resources

We use these resources in our home every day! I’ve made them because I love creating Bible-rich resources my kids can understand and want to use (they beg to use these daily!) Here are some of my favorites for Easter:

A Joyful Easter Morning

I love Easter baskets that feel calm and intentional—ones that invite our kids into joy without distracting from the greater celebration.

When our baskets include beauty, story, and truth, they become one more way we get to point our children to the miracle of Easter: Jesus is alive, and because He lives, everything is new.

And if you’re curious, I’ll be sharing how we pair our baskets with a simple Good Friday, read my post here!
