A blessing for your ministry morning — May your A blessing for your ministry morning —

May your knees bend low and your chin tip upward. And in knowing your smallness may you feel the expansiveness of God’s presence

with you in the preparation

with you in the sermon study

with you in the nursery set up

with you in the coloring sheet printing

with you as you hold a crying mother or father broken by the weight of sin

with you in your service

with you in your worship.

And in turning your eyes to heaven, may you sense your heart lifting your internal gaze to the horizon of eternity. The the tongues of a thousand nations whispering in your ears — holy, holy, holy — may you join their eternal chorus, here and now.
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound m And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ ✨

Did you know that during my masters of divinity I Did you know that during my masters of divinity I did my final thesis on embodiment? Studying the body throughout all of scripture and throughout church history has been radical for me, helping me to see how much the body matters to God.

And one of the areas where this theology turns up in our cultural life is in how we talk about the unborn. If you agree with the testimony of scripture that the body matters to God, and that every human being from conception to natural death bears the image of God, you can’t help but be robustly pro-life. We may differ on which political policies will be most effective in living out the truth of God’s Word, but we will never fail to proclaim that God is sovereign over the womb, and that his image is beheld in every unborn child (John the Baptist even leapt at the nearness of christ — in the womb!)

I don’t post this thoughtlessly. I am well aware of the number of Christian women who have had abortions and experience great shame over this. That is not my heart here. The gospel does not dump shame on us, but welcomes us to come to Christ with all of our burdens. These truths underpin how we view the body, and these truths also are true of you! If abortion is part of your story, you are no less made in the image of God, the incarnation welcomes you to receive the fullness of the gospel, and resurrection to eternal life in Christ is yours! There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ! May we proclaim this loud and clear!
To the woman scared to start today, for fear she w To the woman scared to start today, for fear she will “fail” to finish again — start anyway.

To the woman afraid to start today, for fear she won’t understand what she’s read — start anyway.

To the woman scared to start today, for fear she’s been away too long — start anyway.

To the woman scared to start today, for fear her heart is too broken, and in coming, she will burst apart — start anyway.

To the woman scared she’s too busy and will waste her time her — start anyway.

Come to the fount of living waters, to the God of endless welcome, to the Words of life, to the mercy seat, to the hope of the nations, to the Savior of the world. Do not be afraid — his welcome extends to you. His arms are open to you. Be not slow to bend your knees to him — his nearness is your greatest good.
Has anyone else noticed that groceries cost an arm Has anyone else noticed that groceries cost an arm and a leg lately 🥵 I mean, I KNOW you have. Which just means I’m making little choices these days — like making my favorite fall coffee drinks at home! I recently recreated two of my favorites and after some trial and error, I got them JUST RIGHT 👩‍🍳😘

I used coffee from one of my favorite shops, @tagcoffeeco who gives HALF OF THEIR PROFITS to help kids in their area. Half, guys. HALF! They’re giving you a discount with code AMY on their site!
